Vanta OS Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Vanta OS app and service. By creating an account or using Vanta OS, you agree to them. Your licence to use the app itself is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). If you do not agree, do not use Vanta OS.

1. Not medical advice

Vanta OS is a wellness product. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. Scores, plans, insights, nutrition estimates, biomarker readings and assistant replies are for general wellness information only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified physician before changing your diet, exercise, supplements or medication, and never ignore or delay professional advice because of something you saw in Vanta OS. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

2. Who can use Vanta OS

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping access to your device and sign-in secure.

3. Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. One account is for one person. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings, then Delete account.

4. Membership and billing

• Vanta OS requires a paid Vanta Membership, offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.
• Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. If we change prices, Apple will notify you as required.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.

4a. Lab tests

• Vanta OS lets you book a blood test with sample collection at your home. Tests are currently available in India only.
• Sample collection and laboratory analysis are carried out by our lab partner, Thyrocare Technologies Limited, an accredited laboratory. Vanta arranges the booking and shows you the results; it does not collect or analyse samples itself.
• Lab tests are a physical service and are paid for separately from your Vanta Membership. Payment is processed by Razorpay, not through your Apple ID, at the price shown in the app before you confirm.
• You can reschedule or cancel a booking in the app while the app shows those options, which depends on how close your collection time is. A cancellation made in time is refunded in full to your original payment method. The lab may decline a change after your sample has been collected.
• If the lab cannot complete your collection, you can pick a new time or cancel for a full refund.
• Lab results are shown for general wellness information and are read by AI to update your plan. They are not a diagnosis. Review results with a qualified physician, and seek medical care promptly if the app flags a value that needs attention.

5. Your data and content

You keep ownership of the data and content you provide, including health data, lab reports, photos, voice answers and messages. You give us permission to process it only to provide and improve the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy (/privacy). You confirm you have the right to upload anything you upload.

6. AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence, including the assistant, meal photo estimates, voice transcription and lab report reading. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important, especially lab values read from a report, and do not rely on AI output for medical decisions.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Vanta OS for anyone other than yourself without their permission;
• upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to share;
• try to access other users' data, or probe, disrupt or overload our systems;
• copy, reverse engineer or resell the service, except where the law allows it;
• use the assistant to generate harmful or unlawful content.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

8. Our service

We work to keep Vanta OS available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. Features may change, and we may add, change or remove features over time. Data from Apple Health, wearables and uploaded reports depends on those sources and may be incomplete.

9. Intellectual property

Vanta OS, including its software, design, scores and content (other than your own content), belongs to Vanta and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it while your account is active and in line with these terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Vanta is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on information in Vanta OS. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for Vanta OS in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Vanta OS and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the service, and we will give you reasonable notice where we can.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Vanta OS after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
